I am very excited to see the Lord's plans for Pathways Fellowship continue to unfold. My passion for God's word and compassion for His people are the main reasons I love being a pastor. Having served in 3 churches over 34 years, the Lord began laying on my heart the vision for a new church. We are following Him, one step at a time, in this journey. We desire to offer people the grace gift of salvation, but also help believers grow toward spiritual transformation. So what does that mean, exactly?

To become more like Christ as you live the abundant life He's planned for you!

I accepted Christ as Savior at age eleven and was called to the ministry at eighteen. I realize the pathways that brought me to this point are different from yours. But, here we are, our paths intersecting at this moment. We would love to be a part of where His plan takes you from here.

Debra Hochgraber, Ministry Assistant and Women's Ministy Director

Debra Hochgraber

I was challenged 45 years ago to look deep inside to see my heart's desire for ministry. It was then, and is now, to help women grow in their faith walk with Jesus Christ. At the time, I was not very far along in my journey with Him myself. But there is always someone facing challenges that you've already experienced.

The Lord has afforded me many different types of opportunities to do just that: leadership of women's ministries in the churches we served, position on a state denominational staff, and sharing with women in 11 different states and 5 countries.

My other priority is my family. My husband is my best friend. I love being a mom, growing along with our two daughters. Seeing them as wives is almost as great a blessing as being grandmother to five grandchildren. I'm excited that we are offering opportunities for women to be in His Word, fellowship with one another and serve.

John Nutt, Worship Leader

John Nutt

I have always found worship to be my most intimate moment with God. It’s during that time I lay aside all the things that seems to pile upon me in day to day life and leave them at the altar. It is from this place that I feel the very heart of God saying to me “I love you.” There’s no peace like it and nothing in this world can take its place.

I accepted Christ as Savior at the age of six and was called to the ministry at fifteen. I have longed to be part of a church and staff that laid aside the self-serving mentality that is prominent in so many places, and truly puts feet to the Word and relevance to the message of Christ. I have found this place at Pathways.

Stops along my musical road:

Bachelor of Music, Stephen F. Austin State University
5 Worship Recordings through The Orchard
Worship Leader with Billy Graham, Louie Giglio, Voddie Baucham

About Me:
  • Hobbies: Golf, Fishing, Cooking
  • Family: Wife, two daughters and a son
  • Favorite TV shows: Almost anything SciFy (No matter how ridiculous the premise)
  • Favorite books: My Utmost for His Highest, Better to Best
  • Favorite foods: Grandma Sadie’s Lasagna, Tex Mex
  • Birthplace: Longview, Texas
  • Favorite Chapter in the Bible: Romans 8
